“Right where, I thought it’d be.” Myrija stated proudly before being pushed back with an incredible amount of force. Out of pure instinct she stood her ground expecting she could hold her own. The white dot shook in the center of her wide open, completely little blue, eyes when she realizes why she couldn’t. “Obb?” She questioned.

“Typical.” the echoing, raspy voice of Cendaroki stated as he remained floating several feet in the air his crook pointed directly where Myrija once stood. “Even in the present of truth you lack conviction.”

Obb stood there, his colors almost matching a phoenix now, and look into Myrija’s eyes. He meant to unless the full power of his new found strength, but that look in her eyes cut the power of his charge nearly half.

“Obb…” Myrija stated once more. “I-I-I’m so sorry.” She stated after looking him over. “I...I knew it would be a little hard, but… what did I put you through?” Her eyes reflected I shameful failure. “I thought you would’ve wanted him, but I should have been there sooner.”

“Why do you still cling to the life that abandoned you?” Cendaroki question. “Commit as the rest of us have. She will not with you. She has already shown you. But for the wander there is always a shepherd, and for the seeker there is always a guide.”
“Don’t. You. Dare.” Myrija began. “For even a second, think I wasn’t there!” Obb reached out to the strange tattoo on her right shoulder. “I waited.” She smiled. “I waited until they literally dragged me out. I was a little held up trying to get Phil. But I came, and waited right at the edge. For 6 hours, Obb! You understand? You had me worried sick for 6 hours!” She gently held both Obb’s cheeks and elbows. “And it my fault, because I thought you would’ve learned by now that i’m not going anywhere. Slowly Obb normal colors returned as he tried to speak. Myrija yanked him close, and held him tight.

“If I must show you” Cendaroki spun his cook, and whip it out before swing around the hook and chain it had become. “So be it.” He threw the incredibly long chain forward, and entangle Myrija as she threw Obb behind her. She had no use of her four arms, and little help from her any of her four legs as she struggled. Still Cendarokia grew angry. “You dare defy the shepherd of life! Wit- aahhh!” Myrija steady herself only briefly, but it was enough. She swung her whole body forward, and sent the great shepherd into the ground just as the others arrived.

“You know he doesn’t seem so tough now.” Baron stated. “All this, and you ain’t even gonna be worth it.” Baron charged up a punch during his last four words, and sent it straight into Cendaroki’s head. Sofia kicked him upward only to kick him down again. Phil just stood back, and helped Myrija with the chain.

“Okay.” Phil stated. “How’d you do that? I mean Obb lost his mind.”

Obb opened his mouth, but close it again. Myrija look him concerned. “I really worried you? Well, I’ll think of something when we get back.” Myrija dismissively waved  everyone off as Obb protested. “We’ll catch up.” She stated assuringly.

EPILOGUE

The crowd cheered as Phil and Sophia walk into the afterparty, officially husband and wife. “So you finally caught up.” Rob stated waking up with Jenifer.

“Hey, come on.” Phil chuckled. “I’m not the one behind here.” he stated pausing for the loud slam. “Hey I thought we were-”

“One is apparently the minimum.” Myrija stated webbing up Obb while her left arms kept him pinned. “We’ll behave in just a moment~” Sophia sighed.

“He’s settling down.” Phil reassured Sophia. “A few more social events, and you won’t even notice, promise.”

“Could be less than that.” Maple stated as herself and Marc walked up. “I almost wonder if it’s today, actually.” Noting a muzzled Obb being dragged off by a thread of web tugging the rest of his makeshift harness. “And she is doing her best, I mean this is tamest I’ve seen her.”

“Be that as it may.” Sophia stated pointing to the crowd of several onlookers. “That wasn’t something I needed my friends seeing.”

The party went on without any further disruptions. It one of the most formal most of the Phil’s old friends had been to, but they all handle themselves rather well. Some Sophia’s friends and family express their concerns to Phil about Myrija, but he left it to Obb, as per request. Obb eventually just made the announcement. “Look, I’m sorry we caused a little bit of a scene, but no more questions please.” Myrija flinched just a bit like she wasn’t expecting to be pulled in. “My girlfriend said she keep it to a minimum, so there won’t be anymore disruptions tonight.” Obb got a brief kiss on the cheek, and a look that said more was coming. Myrija, for her part, seemed like she just won something after that. Adjusting was simple, and even calming at times. No one seemed to have any real problem sticking together. At the end of  the day everyone’s lives had some minor differences, but it usually worked out. Phil at long last got a life he never had.
