The Lessons we Learn and Teach

“Hey?” a girl shakes me awake. “What are you two doing out here? The little guy is cold and scared.”

“I know.” Thomas replied. “We just couldn’t take it anymore, and I can’t just leave him.”

Without a word she grabbed my arm, and pulled down my sleeve. “Do whatever you like with that car tomorrow, but you’re staying at my place. We’re supposed to get a big storm tonight, and I’m not leaving two people in some random alley.”

“We’re not supposed to talk to strangers.” Luca replied.

She just leaned down. “Skylar. My name is Skylar. What is yours?”

“Luca,” Luca said. “And he is Thomas.”

“Now we’re not strangers, so come on.” Skylar said, and just like that she drove to her place. “There is an air mattress in the closet. One of you can take that, and the other can use the couch.”

“Why?” Luca asked.

“Do you want to be out in the middle of that?” Renee replied, and held up a hand. A massive roar of thunder came seconds after.

“How did you do that?” Luca asked. Earning a chuckle for both myself and Skylar.

“It’s pretty standard witch stuff actually. Would you like to learn some Magic, Luca?” Skylar asked.
Of course he said yes, and Skylar pulled a box from under her bed. As we drove away. Luca proudly showed me some kind of incense and a note. Watch over him. He knows a lot more than you think -Skylar.
