Reviews of the Games Eating Up My Time

Dangonrompa and Zero Escape: the Nonary games 2 games I had the (mis)fortunate of hearing about roughly 10 years ago. Thus I remember certain details regarding the true endings. What I did not know until recently was both ended up with a few sequels. Which I have recently been playing through.

The single flaw of both is the same as anything horror-puzzle game. Pretty much everyone is an idiot. The Nonary Games slows itself down to address at times despite having less reason to do so than Dangonronpa. But honesty, the question is still reasonable enough that it doesn’t leave me thinking about it. Dangonronpa, while equally good does have a massive plot hole of Monokama’s, the grand mastermind, big weakness from start to finish. That being, as describes it to a friend, He’s not going to kill you, himself, and is about bored of you in his next sentence. To which this friend replied “And then he gets bored of you in his next sentence” The mastermind of the Nonary Game’s had the decency to force you though, at least.

That being said the only reason I’ve played beyond the Dangonronpa 2 is its ability to be the greatest example of misery loves company, I’ve ever seen. I’m waiting on a said friend to finish the 2nd game before moving on. I want to share and talked about the anime and 3, and I can’t do that while he is on 2. He did 1 long before I did. I plowed through 1&2 for my own reasons. Despite my dislike of death as a plot device, and knowing that many of these characters were going to get killed, I fell in love with many of them. Wanted to know more about them, and bonded with many of them. The creators and writers knew what they had and had to do, and its shows. The story and puzzle are usually simple for Dangonronpa the friends you will make and lose along the way are not.

The flowchart of the first Nonary game 9 hours, 9 persons, 9 doors.  Is.. put simply lacking. I ended just giving out the routes need for certain endings because I believe all of them should be gotten before unlocking the true one. Looking up anything about how to read said flowchart usually leads to receiving what route to takes. Not something I wanted to find out, but it did help avoid the true end until the end. The 2nd nonary game has a much more readable flowchart thus far, and the advantage of my uncertainty on how it ends.
That does however bring me to why I have recommended both. I saw both of these plays. Several years ago but they’re hardly forgettable games, saw their true endings know the grand plot twist and a few other things that, were either game not why of the great would stop me from enjoying them even half as much as I did. If you happened to be looking for a mystery to solve. Both come highly recommanded.
