“Giving up on keeping up with me?” Renee said, taking a swig for the drink Nick handed her.

“No.” Nick said. “I’m adapting.”

“2 Mystic Fire, 1 Anchor, 2 White owls, and 1 of whatever he has. Renee said, pointing to Nick. “Got it.”
Both Renee and Nick serve the endless thrash of customers, and may the customers within a flash of each other. Until it finally settled down.

“Ugh…. Holiday.” Nick said. “And entitled people…”

“Seriously.” Renee said. I’ll go flip the sigh to close. Is that okay?”

“Just let me know if you need help.” Nick said.

“Renee closed as per usual, and saw a few walks while she was doing so. “Oh! Hi, we’re just, but I’m sure we could get something. You’ll be I’ll last drink.”

“Oh well could book something—” a young girl started.

“Oh just get Nick, hun.” the mother he’ll get done.

“I’ll be happy to get my uncle, madam.” Renee replied. “I’ll be just a moment."

The young girl sighed as her mom darted off. “She always like this. I’m so sorry.”

“You’re one of the more polite customer, I’ve got today.” Renee replied. “So don’t worry about it too much, and that last drink offer is still open.”

“You know what? After dealing with my mom all day, that sounds lovely.” The girl said, walking in. “Anything is fine… oh, okay not the Mystic Fire or Pyro one, I guess.

“I think I know just the one.” Renee said.  “I’ll be right back.”

“I’m sorry, but who else was outside miss?” Nick asked.

“Lily, and just my mom trying to be clever again.” Lily replied. “We are on vacation out here for the first time in a while, and ‘the bar run by Nick and Renee’ came extremely recommended. I don’t suppose I get any points for guessing who is who?”

“I’m not afraid not, no.” Nick said with a chuckle.

“You can have this one Shocking Apple though.” Renee said. “From one girl with a difficult parent to another.”

“Well I’m not gonna turn that down.” Lily replied, and took a swig. “Especially when it's this good. You can head home if you need to.”

“This is home.” Renee said. “It has been for quite some time now.”

“Got that bad, huh?” Lily said. “I know the feeling, if that wasn’t obvious. My dad and I are still waiting to help my little brother move out.” Lily's phone rang. “Speaking of… Hey, dad... I’m fine. Just taking a place up on getting their last drink of the night… No, mom should not be allowed to leave a review about the place she acted like she knew the owner of.. Yes I am, somehow, serious.”

“We are allowed to take those down, as well.” Nick replied. “It’s a local review place, and several employees there are aware of how nonsensical some of those reviews can get.”

“You catch that, dad?” Lily asked. “Yeah it’s a— Well Uncle and Niece run place, I but still…. Yeah?!... I’d love to take it when you fly in, tomorrow. And one of their drinks is called a Planted Beanstalk by the way, just in case you're interested.”

“No.” Nick said.

“That seriously first drink you’d recommend him?” Renee asked.

“Hang on a second dad.” Lily put the first down. “Yeah it is, why”

Renee pointed to Nick. “Planted Beanstalk is his go to. You’re drinking my go to.”

“Dad?...” Lily said, picking the phone back up. “Yeah, so I absolutely have to come here. You aren’t going to believe this.”
