So I was doing some double checking and notice I posted a story part to this series twice. Once March 9th and was a few weeks before that. There a post below this that posted last tuesday. To make up for that mistake.

“Jackson?” Renee asked. “Welcome to the Rabbit Hole Carnival. What drink will be your festival?”

“A Fruit Pryo would be nice.” Jackson. “If you could, please make it with Oranges.”

“Oranges are in fact a fruit.” Renee replied, and went behind the bar to make one. “Your file only said today is important.” She set a drink down.

“I Just miss her, little lady.” Jackson said, as he took a swig. “Today is the day she left us, and I saw your menu.”

“Her kind of drink hun?” Renee asked giggling. “The kind you won’t find anywhere else? We get that a lot.”

“You don’t say?” Jackson replied with a chuckle, and chug. “Yeah, her kind of drink.”

“Well what’s your kind of drink?” Renee asked. “Seems to me such an occasion ought to be one for each of you.”

“Yeah… Yeah that sounds right” Jackson said. “Your strongest Mystic Fire then!” He slammed the glass down, and Renee collected it.

“Of course.” With a bow Renee took the glass, and served up a Mystic Fire. “you two must have been quite a handful. Considering you both  like a spicy brew.”

“She was my everything.” Jackson said. “Nights like tonight I just wanna go meet her… whenever that is.”

“But she yelled at you, huh?” Renee asked. “No going over with.”

“Oh she wouldn’t yell, but she sure as hell would be angry that I was early.” Jackson replied. “I know she wasn’t long for this world, and fell for her anyways. You remind me of her actually, if you don’t mind me saying.”

“Just know that Daddy is upstairs, and I will call if you get a bit wild on me.” Renee said, and laughed with Jackson.

“That's just what I mean, she always had a joke ready, always just… knew, I guess.” Jackson said, and chugged his drink. “Never find someone else like her,s o here I am waiting.”

“Hi, daddy. Need something?” Renee asked

“No, just couldn't help but overhear.” Nick said. “You were doing fantastic though.”

“You got quite the daughter indeed, Mister Shem.” Jackson said.

“Yes she has always been rather special. “Nick said. “Just my brother, her actual dad could see that.”

“He is my uncle, but I call him Daddy.” Renee said. “He’s the one who treated me like a dad is supposed to, so that's what he is.”

“You really like her then.” Jackson said. “ Hurt by the world, but still giving.”

“I’ll leave you two alone then.” Nick said, as he walked away.

“Night, Daddy.” Renee said.

“I think I’d better call it a night myself.” Jackson said as he got up.

“You sure?” Renee asked. “You got one or two drinks left. And you did already pay for the time, so ought to use it, don't you think?”

“I think you remind me a little too much of her, little lady.” Jackson said.

“Isn’t that a good thing?” Renee asked, as she tilted her head. “You were here to remember her won’t you?”

“And if I said I do wanna remember her that much?” Jackson asked.

“Are you gonna avoid the problem forever?” Renee asked.

“Maybe one or two more then.” Jackson said as he sat back down.
