Rabbit Hole Carnival: Unspoken

“Ugh this would come back at the worst time.” Renee said.

“Whatever it is?” Cel. replied. “I think it’s the best time.”

“It’s not gonna ruin a pillow fight, Cel!” Renee said.

“Mike ruin a pillow fight.” Susie replied. “You are dealing with the after math.”

“Renee…” Joshua replied. “Do you remember our first shouting match.”

“Joahua is now seriously—” Cel said.”

“No he is right.” Renee said. “And yes, I do.”

“As do I, and I’m going to have to side with Renee and Joshua here.” Cody said.

“Wait, wasn't you first at that art fair.” Susie said.

“No, that was a silent thing.” Joshua said. “There was one other one.”

“Jojo what is it?” What did I do?” Renee asked. “I show off a project to me, and I can’t change unless you actually want to tell me what's wrong.”

“Oh, but I can!” Joshua replied. “I’m supposed to know what to say?” Joshua asked.
“What? No, but I can’t just—” Renee tried to say.

“You've been different ever since you made the five! And you want me to change now?! And do what!?” Joshua asked.

“Then why did you say yes?!” Renee asked, and stomped her left boot. “I didn’t force you to do anything! I didn't join the Occultic Five. I offered, and you agreed. Yeah okay I did change, but so did Joshua ‘Jojo’ Misidemurk!”

Joshua was walking away, but stopped. And turned around right after that, facing Renee after that. “So you lied?”

“What?” Renee asked.

“You told me all of us were in this together!” Joshua replied.

“We are!” Renee said. “What is with you?!

“Turns out his dad had told him that he needed to start managing his company better, and to this day he still won’t tell me what exactly it was about one little school project that got to him so much. But I’ve also never asked. It just always been an unspoken thing. Much like a lot of things between me and Mike.

“That’s… a heart-tugging story and all.” Cody said. “But I still don’t see what has to do with this, all I'm getting is there is a lot going on that you two don’t talk about. We know that when we  started.”
Susie whacked him with a pillow. “You deserve the middle number. How did you just say the entire point of the story and still not get it?”

“You attack the shield when I say so.” Cel replied, whacking Susie with a pillow.

Joshua whacked Cel with a pillow “One of us made the point! The rest of you were support!”

“Yeah well one made the whole damn group, Jojo!” Renee replied, whacking him with a pillow as well.
“And you were out of your mind then too, Renee, so consider this payback.” Cel said with another pillow whack.

“If going out of my mind means getting the best 4 friends ever, then I would rather be out of mind for the rest of my life.” Renee replied, and whacked Cel with a pillow as well.

Meanwhile Nick was going to the bathroom just outside the room. “Wise words, Renee…. If only Mike would’ve listened to them…”
