“Daddy?” Renee walked down in her PJ with Inky.  “Hmph. I could just tell you, you know”

“Not what I'm trying to make,” Nick replied. “Though I fail at that too.”

“What are you trying to make then?” Renee asked. “And why”

“Just trying to keep up.” Nick said, siding the drink over. “And something that feeling more welcoming to people like you.”
Renee took a swig. And coughed. “Ugh. what put into this?”

“Pineapple and apple like you use.” Nick replied. “All the time”

“Yeah, overripe pineapple, or frozen apple.” Renee said, and took another swig. “This is way too sweet.”

“You’re drinking it!” Nick said.

“You drink Planted Beanstock, and I  can’t stand it.”Renee replied. “I like sweet, and it doesn’t have to please everyone.”

“Renee, does it please you?” Nick asked.

Renee stood still , and spun as the bell rang. “Welcome to the Rabbit Hole Carnival. What drink will be your festival?”

“I’m uhh… we can custom order right” the girl replied.

“Of course.” Nick replied. “It's all custom drinks around here anyways.”

“Free of charge until you find some you like” Renee said.

“I’ll take Homesick. I like sour, so it sounds good."

“Sure. coming right up.” Renee said.

“Well, what do you think of it,” Nick made the new drink again, and served it.

“Sandy” Sandy replied. “I didn’t wanna be another Samantha all my life.” Sandy coughed a bit.

“Mark is fine.” Mark said. “You okay, hun?”

“Yeah, no it's really good.” Sandy replied. “Just a bit of a kick at first.” Sandy swug it down. “Just wasn’t expecting the first. Kick.

“He actually gave out?” Renee replied, and planted a drink down. “I gave it a bit of extra sour Just felt like it.”

“That’s a lie and you know it.” Mark took a swig himself, and coughed. “Ooh. I miss having a good sour drink.”

“That’s the origin for it actually.” Renee replied. “I noticed we didn’t have a sour drink despite our menu being… well our menu.”

“It is the only sour one on here, huh?” Sandy asked. “And this ones new?”

“Depends on if daddy wants to add it to the menu or not. Renee said. “I’ll get a Shocking Apple. Since only I make those.”

“What makes it so special?” Sandy asked. “Something about it does.”

Mark leaned over. “It's the first one she made.”

“I… what? How did you…” Renee, put the drink on the counter.

“He just does.” Sandy replied, and sipped the drink. “Umfm!” She almost split the drink, but swallowed it.

“I was gonna surprise you.” Renee chuckled. “Didn’t think you tasted emotion like that, sorry”
“Wait when did you… that didn’t come up.” Mark said, checking on his girlfriend.

“She just does.” Nick replied. “You need some water, dear?”

Sandy shook her head, and drank the whole. “I want another one, and the whole menu.”

“You can’t have the menu, but you can have another one.” Renee replied. “And maybe tell me how it tastes this time? I think someone should hear that tonight.”

Sandy took another swig. “It tastes like… the day I found Mark. All the mistakes are in it, but still it tastes like… like home. It tastes like home.”

“Stay as long as you like. Renee can serve you” Nick replied. “I have some work to do.”

“Good luck on it!” Sandy replied. “So about trying the menu.”
