“But he dealt with the same situation?!” Susie said.

“And had yet to come around, and yes I am one to talk.” Joshua replied. “But at least my reach out attempts weren’t… umm….”

“a complete and total embarrassment of your character.” Renee said. “Could I remind you all of what I called you here?”

“To do a meeting, and you two are always like over when it comes to actually important stuff.” Cody said. “Nick, is there some reason you’re not saying anything?”

“Renee needs to make her choice, and whatever it is I suppose it.” Nick replied. “I closed the bar, gave my thoughts, and let talk to the people she wanted to talk to. I am rather close to kicking these two out though.”

“Some other sense here at least.” Cel said. “What? It’s been less than 5 minutes. What are you two on about?”

“This is Nick’s Tavern.” Susies said. “Going or not we not having a funeral here”

“Look it forward tonight and—” Joshua started

“Cody? Both of them. Out. now.” Renee said.

“Got it.” Cody replied. Quite literally having both by the collar in less than a minute. “Cel?”
“You do your part Cody. I’ll do mine.” Cel said.

“They Often do this?” Nick asked, watching Cody leaving the bar with both of them.

“Don’t change the subject on me, Nick.” Cel replied. “What’s the actual reason you didn’t say anything?”

“I still don’t need a bar, Cel.” Nick said. “My answer was she needs to figure out what gets her closure, and do that, but I can go saying that with those 3 around.”

“If that was your answer then that means.” Cel asked with a smile “Could you make me a White Owl please? And… I guess—”

“I’ll make them.” Renee replied. “It calms me down anyways.” She walked back behind the bar, and made them.

“So like you.” Cel signed, and took a swig. “Well, so like the people so used to negative environments, but still.”

“What is that supposed to mean?!” Renee said. “Yes, fine he was a piece of crap, okay?! He is still a part of me! His blood ran through my veins! Why should I not go?! Why do I… do I.. both do and don’t want to”

Cel quietly let Renee yell, even egged her on a bit by sipping while she ranted. “Is that everything?”

“Stop that.” Renee replied. “You always do this, you always just stand and let me rant it out. And it usually works, so fair enough. But it is not going to this time so just give. me. an. Answer”

“Hmm.. you know you noticed that. And well done, but you miss something else I do.” Cel replied.

“Don’t ask me questions we both know the answer to, either.” Renee replied “And no, I haven’t”

“Well , Renee, if we both know the answer, why are you still asking them?” Cel said.

“I said stop it!” Renee replied. “I can and will get you kicked out.”

“True, but are you going to?” Cel replied.

“I believe she just said not to do that." Nick said. “Renee, may I open up the bar now?

“No! Well.. if you wanna manage it without me for a day, sure.” Renee said.

“So you’re going?” Cel asked, and giggled.

“Shut. up.” Renee replied. “No I’m not going? Why would I go? Do you know the amount of crap I dealt with because of him? We’re going to that lake we like.”

“Oooh. That one is lovely this time of year” Cel replied, and followed.
