“Anything you've gotten out of it?” Renee asked, as she walked down the stairs.

“A little improvement I think. These two here?” Nick replied.

Renee drank a sip of both, and tasted them again. “Not trash… definitely a help.”

“Does it not worry you?” Nick asked.

“Worry me how?” Renee asked.

“Just… election results?” Nick said. “You have yet to make something in a while that’s not just you making things about love?”

Renee stares for a bit, and then slowly bursts out into a slow laughter. “Please tell me that not what all this has been about?”

“Something wrong, if it is?” Nick asked.

“Yes!” Renee replied. “Things are shit! This bar is just… a mess for those who got left behind.”

“True.” Nick replied. “But one of those people is you, and that's more than enough that it’ll always be around. The lost well still be here. The misplaced well still finds a place to go. And even if that’s because they don’t get a choice. They will still make some noise.”

“Noise….” Renee replied. “That just might be Its name. And maybe some peaches maybe? Come on, help me work on it.”

Nick took a swig. “Some peaches might help, but if you're going for hope maybe too sweet is nice?”

“So I hear we’re looking for votes.” Susie said. “What's the new drink?”

“Really now, You could act, at least a bit, civil.” Joshua said.

True, but he basically said bars wouldn’t be around.” Susie replied. “I think they have reasons to be worried.”

“I don’t think they can actually take from Renee.” Cody said.

“You have to believe in people.” Cel said. “Because no matter how much they disappoint you, the moment they realize they were wrong they flood right back to you.”

“And yet they voted against this place.” Joshua said.

“No they didn’t.” Cody said. “They voted for a lot of things, and yet they voted for bars to stay open. Why would that be?”

“Cody is right.” Renee said. “However they voted, they come here for a happier ending, and a drink or two just might change their mind.”

“Go on.” Susie said. “There's a drink from that isn’t there?”

“Is there?” Cel asked, and Renee nodded. “You two are impossible.”

“What there’s a good drink idea in that mindset?” Renee said. “And we were here at least it makes a slight difference.”

“Can you make a difference with the drink?” Joshua asked.

“I think so.” Renee said. “No promises on the taste.”

“So that's what all the noise was,” Nick said, as came downstairs. “Need some help with this one it seems?”

“I think so. I added stuff already..” Renee replied. “It’s still a bit too…. Sweet though.” Renee replied.

Nick coughed a lot as he tasted it. “Yams, maybe? Might ruin the taste. Perhaps lettuce would work.”
The pair work on it through the night. “Well not something for the menu just yet.” Renee said.

“True, but I'll be ready for it. We just have to get it there.” Nick replied.
