“I just think I already knew.” Renee said, as Nick walked down. “Don’t need the group for that.”

“Enlighten us, anyways.” Susie said.

“You two would show up.” Renee replied.

“Correction, we're the two Nick texted.” Cel said.

“Either way I feel stupid enough as it is.” Renee said.

“Why didn’t you kick Adam of your accord?” Susie asked. “And have a new drink, which sailors are loving from what I hear.”

“That last part explains a lot.” Cel said. “My mom commented on a weird amount of sailors showing up for some sessions. Meanwhile , I didn’t even know we had a dock.”

“We don’t.” Renee said. “It's a kind of small boat shop that is close to 3 towns.”

“What is the problem then?” Cel Asked.

Renee signed. “He said he wanted to meet in our favorite childhood park, and apologize.”

Renee—” Cel said.

“I know already. It was stupid.” Renee replied.

“You don’t know that, because that isn’t what she was gonna say.” Susie said.

“How would you know?” Renee asked.

“Because I asked her, and she only been more right.” Susie replied. “So before thinking you went wrong, you might wanna listen to the person, even you, said should be  our leader first.”

“I was more than that." Cel said. “You knew you weren’t ready or willing. You do remember, don't you?”

“Naturally.” Both of the other girls said.

“Nick, you better invite us next time.” Cody, swinging the door open.

“Quite so, if Renee is sad even after making a beloved new drink at those docks. I better know!” Joshua said.

“It's been a week..” Renee said. “It can’t be that good yet.

“If you would like to tell them your orders for 6 more barrels, you be my guess.” Nick said. “Don’t worry, I told them that the order would be in a month. Figured Adam would do something like this. What this I hear about this meeting though?”

---High School (after school)---
“Look you all have been my 4 friends for a bit now, and since weirdos ignored and bullied out most clubs I would like to make our own. On the condition that Cel manages it, and I'll co-sigh it.” Rene said, nervously and judging the 4 reactions.

“I’ll accept, but only on the condition that i'm 2nd in command.” Cel spoke first.

“But I was thinking I’d be number 4. Favorite one digit number.

“Would be unorthodox anyways. I wanna be 2.” Susie said. “If we're all getting numbers away.

“I prefer 5 as a number.” Joshua replied. “I agree I can’t be the 1st. But I have the resources soon, and I’m often the last to know.”

“I've always been in the middle 3 suits me just fine.” Cody said.

“Okay, I was gonna explain the number, but if you're all on board already, then nevermind.” Renee said. “Every other club has something unique, and our numbers and nicknames.”

“What yours going penmenship?” Joshua said. “You always write ideas like this.
“I wouldn’t be opposed to that nickname.” Renee said.
----
And that’s how in high school I wrote a plan, and that plan made a friend group.” Renee replied.
“If Adam is coming after you, Renee? His reality is breaking, and yours isn’t” Cel said. “And like you he already knows that.
