Legacy: Part 6

“Looks pretty wild, huh?” Renee said as she walked up to Strike.

“You always forget there was 7 once, ya know? At least I do.” Strike replied. “What happened to the other 3?”

“The other 4” Renee replied. “Back when it wasn’t just one planet.”

“Bullheaded as I sometimes am, I’ve never understood countries,” Strike said.
“Just sometimes?” Renee said, giggling.

“Ha. Ha.” Strike said. “We find this train yet?”

“Ya know, it's weird.” Renee replied. “They looked through the locomotive section,the historical fables section, and even the sword section. But I was told to ask you, we think we’re missing something.”

“Why are you asking me then?” Strike asked. “This aint my field, and we all know it.”

“But weirdly placed this is always your field,” Renee said. “So where would you put a train running through the mountains?”

 Strike paused for a moment, and then raised his eyebrows. “We’re sure it has been running?”

Renee tilted her head. “Why would whether or not it is running mat—landmarks!” Both darted off.

“You arrived.” Lucas replied, greeting them. “Took me quite some time as well. Heard it off some elderly man, I think.”

“I told you you could tone it out.” Renee happily replied. “Learn anything?”

“It’s location varies, or so they say.” Lucas pointed to the map. “Looks almost like a track to me with a few stops.”

Reginald leaned into the map directly passing Lucas. Melody stared at him “You feel it too then, Reg?” She asked.

“No matter how much you insist Melody. I’m not like you. I do not feel it. I know it.” Reginald replied.

Melody signed. “We think a sword piece is there.”

“Know!” Reginald yelled back.

 “A sword piece? Strike replied. “Then it is broken.”

“That always made the most sense.” Renee said. “No one ever knows where the thing is, but feelings of it being close come from all around the world.”

“But no one ever found a piece,” Melody finished. “maybe because they’ve been moving.”

“It’s next stop is here.” Reginald pointed. “But by the time we get there…. We should go here.”

“Not yet we shouldn’t.” Lucas replied. “I would think the 2 of you could sense it more.”

“They’ve never been good at that.” Renee said. “Usually leave it to me.”

“Being followed?” Strike whispered. “Who do I knock out?”

“I think we should head to the astronomy section next.” Lucas replied. The group looked at each other and just nodded.
