Kirby Review

Having still been stuck with writer’s blocks I have found myself enjoying Kirby’s jump into the 3D world. For the first time in a while I found myself invested in slowing the game down, and prolonging its completion. The game is nowhere near the difficulty craved by some. But there is some challenge to be had, or at the very least self applied. The world has a number of cute, yet dangerous creatures. Capable of damaging you, or becoming adsorbed and giving you their abilities. The mini-bosses and bosses alike feel unique in each of their attack sets and themes. While I have yet to complete the game, I look forward to seeing the rest of The Forgotten Lands’ remaining worlds, and bosses. Wondering what rescuing the rest of creatures called Waddledees has to offer, and why exactly this Beast King wants them in cages.

Kirby and the Forgotten Lands has been a simple and cute game providing a well needed break with enough of a challenge to keep it all interesting. Mouthful mode is not as horrifyingly disrupted as I first thought it would be, but it remains easily the lowest point of the game. Nonetheless, Between the Pokemon Legends: Arceus and The Forgotten Lands,it seems Nintendo is making an effort to reach out to older audiences. An effort I look forward to enjoying in its future games, and current ones.
