Phil joined with the other silhouettes staring at the edge. “This is...different.”

“Tonight’s maze.” the usual nameless voice introduce himself once again. “Is ‘The Choice’ A giant labyrinth where you will face your decisions.”

“Only one floor, and that’s it only challenge?” The beastly silhouette stated. “Seems I might actually get some sleep tonight.” He said already about to make his way down the stairs.

Some others seem to agree, and followed suit. Others, like Phil, won’t so sure, but Phil went down the stairs anyways. As he stepped down to the floor, the sound of a cage dropping was suddenly behind him.  As he turned another he saw his father in wolf form “Oohh.. shiiit!” Phil took off running. Thankfully his father lacked any sense of planning in his rage. As Phil crossed a line painted on the ground he stopped. He thought he could rest, but his wolf father to make a desperate attempted to charge only to hi an invisible wall.

“Honestly.” Phil turned around after hearing Sophia’s voice. “Always such a hothead.”

A small green man floated down. “You girls were correct it seems.” He stated as Phil’s dad charged into the wall again. This however he was stuck there, and whimper. “As I explained.” The small green man made his left fist grow very large. “You will. Obey. The RULES.” with one punch the wolf was sent flying as the small green man floated back into the void.

“Girls?” Phil stated. “Meaning?”

Sophia nodded. “We’ll talked on the way.” Sophia lead him down a rather twisted road. “You know when we first met I never thought it would be so hard for you to make a decision.” She stated.

“You remind me of everything my parents would’ve wanted for me.” Phil began. “And everything about my life should drive me away from that, but… I can’t bring myself to abandon it.”

“It’s human, Phil.” Sophia rebutted. “You need something stable in your life, even if you’ve been pushed away from it. And just because you’ve been pushed towards it, doesn’t make it wrong.”

“Then why it so brutal at times?” Phil responded. “If it’s right, why doesn’t it always seem that way?”

“Tell you what.” Sophia stated. “See if she actually has anything better.”

Sofia waved as the approach another painted line. “Anything better?” She questioned. So Phil crossed the line, and summarized. “Well, I'm not gonna make any promises.” Sofia started. “Honestly? It’s probably easier that way. It’s tough at times, but I guess it has its benefits.”

“You don’t...want to argue?” Phil asked.

“That is my argument.” Sofia stated. “It’s easy, and simple. And anyone could do it, if they really wanted to.”

“Just be the person ” Phil stated. “that everyone expects”

“Mhmm.” Sofia nodded. “Do it all by the book. Go through the motions, and leave the occasional slip up to your bedroom. Like you’re supposed to.” Sofia turned to look at him as they neared the end. “Go ahead.” She concluded. “Live like you’re supposed to. If that’s really what you want, there’s nothing I can say to stop you.”

Phil had only thought when he walked through that door.

THOUGHT
-You want to try (night 6-D)

-Is it really so worthwhile? (go to night 6-B/C)
