“What the? Just what’s going on here?!” Sophia shouted storming up to Phil’s door as Sofia seemed to be being pushed out.

“Oh.” Sofia paused before grinning with a hand on her hip. “You had me come all the way out just to tell her about us?... Or did some wires did crossed.”

“So- what? Sofia, seriously?!” Phil shouted.

“What?” She tilted her head, and took her phone. “It’s right here, see?” Showing Sophia the text before reading aloud. “I’m gonna sleep in, but I’ll come later tonight. After the dinner, I need to break things off before we move forward.” Sofia moved down her phone a bit. “Okay so really bad nightmare tonight….would you come over?”

Phil scrambled through his phone. “Wait, wait.” As Sophia stood there with her face red with rage. “Wait… but…”

Sofia burst out laughing as Phil compared phones. “Okay that first one wasn’t real.” She snapped her fingers, and watched as the words vanished into the air. “Sorry, I never get to use it, despite my own natural atonement to it.”
“The second one though…” Sophia and Phil stared at it.

“All I’m gonna say, is he was pretty out of it, when I first got here. Maybe I slept on top of him. Maybe he freaked out, and nearly shoved me out of a door.  And I'm just here after staying the night in a nearby hotel.” Sofia stated. “How much you trust him is up to you.”

“Sophia…” There was a long silence. “You really think I would?-”

“You have been acting weird lately,” Sophia admitted. “and I thought we talked about how I felt about you hanging out with her.”

“You really don’t want to hang out with the Fey supposed to help me stopped these nightmares. It's been days since I felt like i’ve slept at all.”

“What I want is-” Sophia tried to protest.

“What she wants, Philip,” Sofia started as she walked back down the hallway leading to Phil’s apartment. “is to drag you back in to a life you ran away from.”
“What I want!” Sophia shouted as the goat hooves trotted their way out. “Is for you to stop feeling like you have to run. And I guess, in her own way, she wants the same thing.” Sophia sighed. “But I want you to fix it, and she doesn’t. Your parents are some of the worst I’ve heard of, but that doesn’t mean your family life has to stay so broken.”

“What live a normal life?” Phil asked. “Just my childhood pitting against my best friend doesn’t mean I didn’t see that, ya know?”

“Seeing it, and living it are very different.” Sophia rebutted.

“And just who lives it, exactly?” Phil responded. “Because I have yet met anyone who has.”

“So what?!” Sophia shouted. “Okay, so maybe no ever does, but some of us are at least trying.”

“I’ve noticed.” Phil stated. “And it’s ripping Obb, and leaving Johnny in a trash heap most days.”

“And Marc?” Sophia asked. “It is better for him after giving up?”

“What? What are you talking about?” Phil stare at her.

“Just...nevermind.” Sophia stated before walking away. “You wouldn’t believe me.”

A couple hours later Phil got a text.

Sofia: So… Could you sleep at my place, tonight? On the couch, if you want. I promise I can explain, but not over the phone. Just… Just no sleeping alone tonight okay?

YOUR THOUGHTS

She’s been playful, and forward before. This seems different (go to night 4-B)

I can sleep with Sophia if it matters that much. It has been a while (go to night 4-D)
